Itinerary
8:00AM: Out guide will come to your hotel in Hanoi City Center to pick you up.
Bike, helmet preparation to begin cycling to vegies farm Song Phuong Vegetable Village.
Leave Hanoi to the west of the city there are many small farms, where much of the produce sold in the city markets is grown. There are vegetable gardens, tropical fruits and very hospitable local people. Our destination is Song Phuong Vegetable Village.
09:30AM: We meet our host family and visit the ancient Phuong Vien communal house. This is where the village festival is organized, in the communal house yard. We continue by visiting the Vang market.
On market-days, it will be crowded. (Vietnamese lunal calender days: 2,4,7,9,12,14,17,19,22,24,27,29). On these days, people from surrounding villages come here to sell their pigs, chickens, ducks, dogs, clothes, agriculture tools, etc. Vang market starts in the early morning and finishes around 1:30 pm.
11:00AM: Returning to our host's house and learning to cooking Vietnamese dishes with host then enjoy lunch together. A short relax & enjoy Vietnamese tea or Vietnamese beer.
13:30PM: We will join a farmer working in his field. You will have the opportunity to help in the work of the small land-holding. Depending on the season this will involve raking, sowing, watering greens, picking greens and other gardening activities. You will be having the opportunity to ask experienced local farmers about cultivation techniques and lifestyle.
15:30PM: We leave Song Phuong Vegetable Village to cycle back to meeting point. You then take taxi back to your hotel.'
17:00PM: Arrive at your hotel in Hanoi. Tour ends here.
