Amenities

Livitrans boasts the highest number of carriages compared with other train providers. Normal cabins contain four berths though tourists long for more seclusion and tranquility can opt for VIP treatment when the whole cabin is reserved for two only.

All the cabins are fully-equipped with necessary facilities and ornamented with elegant interior décor. Toilet is not available in each cabin but can be found at the end of each carriage. The restaurant cabin where customers can be provided with hot and tasty meals up to their preference at reasonable price is also a highlight of the trip on Livitrans train. In some VIP cabins, passengers can be entertained with newspapers and magazines or even with TV screens.

Schedule

Livtrans Express is daily operated with a fixed schedule. Departing from Hanoi at 21:40 and arriving at Lao Cai station at 05:25 the following day, journey on Livitrans lasts for proximately 8 hours. For the reverse route, the train sets off at 20:15 and approaches Hanoi Train Station at around 04:20. Any changes or modifications in schedule will be widely announced for travelers’ information

PROS

Another competitive advantage of Livitrans Express over other trains is that it features the highest number of accommodation. As a result, customers will be less likely to encounter such difficulty in booking as ticket unavailability.

CONS

In terms of drawback, the two upper berths in a cabin cannot be folded so it might be a shortcoming to passengers who are in favor of spacious cabin. The arriving time in Hanoi is also a bit early for one to wake up and get ready to disembark
